Religious Violence
In my peace and conflict resolution class I am about to have to lead a class discussion on religious violence and it’s causes. In the chapter we read it talked about how though many organizations encourage violence through and us vs. them mentality religion is the best suited because the ultimateness of what is at stake. I have to form two question for class and have my own answers previously though of so that we are better suited to lead the discussion. So I figure the two questions fit here as well:
1) What drives people to need religion?
2) Is there any religious standard (no matter the religion you are) that is worth killing over?
