The American Culture
Listening to System of a Down especially the song “Deer Dance” makes you think about how people in America present themselves to the rest of the world. a segment of the lyrics is as follows:
Beyond the Staples Center you can see America,
With its tired, poor, avenging disgrace,
Peaceful, loving youth against the brutality,
Of plastic existence.
hearing / reading this i couldn’t help but think about the fact that it isn’t only America who are guilty of leading a “Plastic existence” sure we put more emphasis on how people look but to some extent every culture does they just care about different aspects of how the person is presented. be it cloths or how they act when they are in public every culture has an almost faked face it presents to the rest of the world.
